The condition of Lake Albert has been of concern for Wagga Wagga residents for some time. Committee for Wagga is pleased to see discussions between Wagga Wagga City Council and the NSW Government progressing, and we look forward to further updates in this area.

NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro participated in the sod turning ceremony for the Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics Hub (RiFL) at Bomen yesterday.

Committee for Wagga has been a long-time advocate of the RiFL Hub as it forms a key component of the Bomen Business Park and the Special Activation Precinct Draft Master Plan (released in July 2020). We look forward to the opportunities this significant development will bring to Wagga Wagga, including attracting new further businesses to the city and driving economic & population growth.

Committee for Wagga is pleased to announce the opening of the Main City Levee by Greg Conkey OAM, Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga, the Hon Michael McCormack, Federal Member for Riverina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development and Wes Fang, Wagga Wagga MLC occurred last week.

Wagga Wagga City Council officially allowed traffic across the new structure at 6.00am on 2nd September 2020.
