C4W - Seventh Roundtable - Digital Connectivity into the Future
On the 22nd September Committee for Wagga held its Seventh Roundtable of 2020 with guest panelists Peter Auhl, EQI Consulting Chief Executive, Chris Thorpe Leading Edge Data Centres Chief Executive and Founder and Jacyl Shaw, GHD Digital's Global Director for D-Lab.
The timely discussion focused on digital connectivity, in particular the current public and private investment in infrastructure occurring within the city, and the opportunities this enhanced digital capability presents to business, government and the community in the city for years to come.
The panelists agreed digital connectivity is key to ensuring Wagga Wagga is competitive at a national and international level. With the increased interest in regional areas as a result of COVID-19 the availability of enhanced digital capabilities, such as those flagged recently by the nbn™, provide a golden opportunity to enhance Wagga Wagga's reputation as a city of choice for businesses interested taking advantage of opportunities as they arise.
Digital connectivity, innovation and smart city technologies remain key for Wagga Wagga in attracting businesses and individuals as the city grows to a population of 100,000.
