Committee for Wagga is pleased to announce the opening of the Main City Levee by Greg Conkey OAM, Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga, the Hon Michael McCormack, Federal Member for Riverina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development and Wes Fang, Wagga Wagga MLC occurred last week.

Committee for Wagga identified Levee Bank Flood Protection is a high priority project in our 2017 Strategic Plan. The upgrade of the Main City Levee provides the central business district, essential city assets and thousands of residential homes with 1 in 100 year flood protection. We look forward to working with Council, State Government and residents regarding flood mitigation options for North Wagga Wagga.
