RiFL project on track with Council approvals

Wagga Wagga City Council has entered agreements with Visy Logistics and Huon Contractors for the Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics (RiFL) Hub.

Committee for Wagga congratulates the Wagga Wagga City Council on its endorsement to enter into an Agreement for Lease with Visy Logistics to operate and manage the RiFL Hub terminal and master rail siding in Wagga Wagga. Council also approved the RiFL Hub Stage 2 and 3 design and construct contract be awarded to Huon Contractors Pty Ltd, with construction expected to be completed by mid-2022. These important steps in the development of the RiFL Hub at Bomen Business Park were secured at an Extraordinary Meeting of Wagga Wagga City Council in August 2020.

Committee for Wagga has been a long-time advocate of the RiFL Hub as it forms a key component of the Bomen Business Park and the Special Activation Precinct Draft Master Plan (released in July 2020). We welcome Visy as a key corporate citizen in the Wagga Wagga community and look forward to the opportunities this significant development will bring to Wagga Wagga, including attracting new further businesses to the city and driving economic & population growth.
