Wagga School Leaders Program Graduation 2026

The 2026 Wagga School Leaders Program concluded with a memorable graduation evening at Magpies Nest Restaurant. Students were joined by proud parents, school principals and coordinators, program facilitators and contributors, valued sponsors, and dignitaries for an evening of celebration, gratitude and recognition of achievement.

A highlight of the evening was the opportunity for students to host the event themselves. From serving as Masters of Ceremony to delivering individual presentations, students reflected on their experiences throughout the program and shared their key learnings, memorable moments and aspirations for the future. They spoke about how they would apply the skills and knowledge gained through the program in their schools, communities and personal lives, while also taking the opportunity to thank the sponsors, mentors and contributors who had supported their journey.

The students carried out their responsibilities with professionalism and confidence, showcasing the communication, leadership and presentation skills they had developed, practised and refined throughout the program. Their growth and maturity were evident for all in attendance to see.

Graduation certificates were presented by representatives of the program’s sponsors and supporters, including Mayor of Wagga Wagga Councillor Dallas Tout, Rebecca Hardy from Enirgi Power Storage Recycling, Jake Spackman from Bush & Campbell Accountants, Dr Joe McGirr MP, Member for Wagga Wagga, and Glenn Venables from Westpac.

Committee 4 Wagga extends its sincere thanks to the organisations whose support makes this program possible: Charles Sturt University, Enirgi Power Storage Recycling, Wagga RSL Club, Bush & Campbell Accountants, Sureway Employment & Training, and Westpac. We also acknowledge the valuable contribution of Australian Recruit and Training Centre.

Everyone in attendance would agree that the graduation ceremony was a fitting conclusion to an outstanding program. The evening reflected the tremendous potential of these young leaders and the importance of investing in the future of our region. Committee 4 Wagga is proud to support and develop the next generation of leaders who will contribute to the ongoing success and prosperity of Wagga Wagga and beyond.
