Pro Patria Stage 2 Opening
Committee 4 Wagga’s Scott Sanbrook attended the Opening of Pro Patria’s Stage 2 developments which includes an incredible facility for the Defence Shed. The new space has a workshop, meeting room, office, 3D printing area, classroom and a kitchen for the garden-to-plate program - welcoming new digs for the Defence Shed members.
Other Stage 2 renovations at the old Carmelite Monastery site in Ashmont include transforming existing buildings into purpose-built rooms for multi-disciplinary health and wellbeing service, including a fully equipped GP suite.
All of this work has been made possible by the tireless efforts of volunteers (even the C4W team contributed several hours to cleaning up at the site!), generous donations and $1.26M from the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs “One-Off Veteran Wellbeing Grant Program”.
