Welcome To Wagga

A strong contingent of Wagga Wagga’s newest residents received a warm reception on Friday evening.

More than 40 adults and children gathered at the old Ambulance Station in Johnston Street for the Welcome To Wagga.

Committee 4 Wagga hosted the free family-friendly event with the support of RDA Riverina and the Wagga Business Chamber.

Acting co-chair Samantha Beresford gave a speech to greet the newcomers on behalf of Committee 4 Wagga, while Aunty Mary Atkinson performed a Welcome To Country.

Attendees received a “welcome pack” - with goods and services to the value of $100 - courtesy of generous donations from Committee 4 Wagga members, local businesses and the Wagga Tourist Information Centre.

Capping off the event was a barbecue provided by Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga.
