Breakfast with Tony Abbott AC
🌟 The Wagga Wagga community recently had the unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the life of a Prime Minister when Tony Abbott AC joined us as a special guest at a breakfast event.
In the beautiful setting of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Mr. Abbott engaged with a large and diverse crowd, sharing experiences from his time as Australia’s 28th Prime Minister. He spoke on topics ranging from his confrontation with Vladimir Putin to the challenges of achieving net zero emissions and the critical role of Wagga Wagga as a regional centre.
The event was generously supported by Riverina Water and Charles Sturt University/, both of which were well-represented among attendees. Committee 4 Wagga patron and former Member for Riverina, Kay Hull AO, led an insightful interview and Q&A session with Mr. Abbott.
A table of graduates from the Wagga School Leaders Program attended, and Mr. Abbott offered them valuable advice: learn from the past and focus on the present to secure a successful future.
This non-political event, hosted by Committee 4 Wagga, provided a rare chance for community members to meet and engage in conversation with a former world leader. It was Mr. Abbott’s first visit to Wagga Wagga in eight years, and we were honoured to have him with us.
