WAGGA SCHOOL LEADERS PROGRAM MODULE 6

Module 6 of the Wagga School Leaders Program - Who am I as a leader? was held on Tuesday 6th June. This module asks students to consider what inspires, influences, and is important to them and who they are as a leader.

Jum Lamont of Jump Start Communications commenced the module by asking the students to consider their ‘leadership brand’ in terms of the traits they see in themselves and the traits others see in them. The group discussed different styles of leadership and the characteristics of a number of leaders. Each student identified characteristics they consider non-negotiable to effective leadership prior to considering their personal leadership brand.

One of the many perspectives on leadership considered by the students during Module 6.

Each student presented their personal leadership shield to the group. Initially discussed in Module 1, the leadership shield is a visual representation of each individual and the key things that have and continue to influence them. Key learnings from each module over the course of the Wagga School Leaders Program are integrated into both the content and style of the student presentations.

The seventh and final module of the 2023 Wagga Schoo Leaders Program will be held on Friday 23rd June with the program culminating in a celebration of the students’ growth at graduation that evening.
