Committee 4 Wagga founding Chairwoman, Judy Galloway has been awarded Wagga’s Woman of the Year.

Mrs Galloway established Sureway Employment and Training in 1989, while raising a family and today the successful Wagga born business has over 90 sites throughout NSW, Victoria and South Australia and employs around 350 people.

The award was presented by Member for Wagga, Daryl Maguire, who also nominated Mrs Galloway for NSW Premiere’s Woman of the Year. Mr Maguire said Mrs Galloway displayed outstanding leadership qualities “She has built a successful business and yet she is the most humble person you could meet, and I think that says a lot about her as an individual,” Mr Maguire said.

Mrs Galloway was instrumental in establishing Committee 4 Wagga in 2011 and is pictured above at the public launch in May 2012. Under Mrs Galloway’s leadership the Committee has completed Stage 1 of “Share the Road” Cyclist Safety Project, hosted the inaugural “Wagga Live” New Year’s Eve Celebration attended by 12,000 people, established The Emerging Leaders Program and raised over $100,000 for CCTV installation in Wagga Wagga’s CBD.
