Digital AgriFood Summit 2023

“Think local, act global” was a message heard loud and clear at the Digital Agrifood Summit held at Charles Sturt University.

These were the words of wisdom from CSU’s Professor Renee Leon, who gave the opening address at the two-day event.

Professor Leon said the digital revolution had enabled research and innovation teams to utilise robots, drones, sensors and other technologies at a local level while “acting globally” with what they produced.

The summit showcased the latest insights, systems and tools in the digital world.

Close to 400 industry leaders and participants were captivated by a host of guest speakers, including Canadian-based Lauren Kilcrease, ANZ Bank head of Agribusiness Insights Michael Whitehead and Kenyan Professor Jacquie McGlade.

“Paddock To Product” was the theme of the event, which was supported by CSU, Agripark and foodagility.
