Meeting with Deputy PM Michael McCormack

On April 9, 2018, the C4W Board met with the Hon. Michael McCormack, Member for Riverina, Leader of the Nationals, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Minister to share the Federal Government’s perspective on activities that promote growth in regional Australia, with an emphasis on projects/initiatives that will result in growth for Wagga Wagga. Discussions included C4W Strategic priorities, including the Murray Darling Medical School.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the C4W Board to share with the Minister some more recently conceived C4W projects, including incentives for decentralisation based on a regional travel voucher scheme and the possibility of developing a Willans Hill concept plan.
