Ron Finemore Gives Key Note Address To Emerging Leaders Program

Local trucking magnate Ron Finemore will tell his story at the Emerging Leaders Program on Tuesday 12th May. Born and raised in Wagga Wagga Ron was previously the Executive Chairman of Finemores Transport prior to its sale to Toll Holdings in 2011 and he now heads up Ron Finemore Transport.

Finemores Transport boasted more than 2000 staff and 680 trucks at its peak whilst the present day Ron Finemore Transport Company employs 460 staff and operates 160 trucks. 

Ron is recognised as a leading transport and logistics professional and also a champion of industry professionalism, innovation and safety.  Ron has served as the Chairman of the Australian Trucking Association and Deputy Chair of The Australian Transport Council.  Among other things Ron was a former Chairman of the Australian Jockey Club and was instrumental in its amalgamation with the Sydney Turf Club and the transition of both those organisations to form the Australian Turf Club.

Ron’s achievements in both business and in the community were recognised by his OAM appointment in 1999.
