2019-20 Land Monitor Report Launch
Committee for Wagga with HIA and Regional Development Australia Riverina launched the Wagga Wagga Land Monitor Report 2019-20 today.
Originally developed by the Housing Association Wagga Branch, the report provides an overview of the vacant land supply in Wagga Wagga with the intention of enabling stakeholders to make better informed decisions relating to market demand and future economic growth.

The NSW Government has released the draft Wagga Wagga Transport Plan, a strategic vision for Wagga’s future.
The Wagga Wagga Transport Plan outlines a shared pathway for how the transport network will evolve to enable the land use vision outlined in the Wagga Wagga Local Strategic Planning Statement and the Wagga Wagga Special Activation Precinct Draft Masterplan.

Local Strategic Planning Statement Submission
The Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) was released by Wagga Wagga City Council in October 2020. Committee for Wagga provided a submission in response to the Draft LSPS. 74 submissions were provided to the Wagga Wagga City Council who adopted the Wagga Wagga LSPS at the Council meeting on 8th February 2021.

Committee for Wagga would like to welcome the new cohorts of our Wagga School Leaders Program 2021. Last night saw 17 students from 6 local high schools attend orientation where students were given a course outline including lectures, interactive activities, tours, forums, events, excursion and virtual experiences.
The first module will take place on 24th February at Charles Sturt University. Committee for Wagga looks forward to providing updates at the completion of each module.

Riverina Intermodal Freight & Logistics Hub Site Works Commences
NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro participated in the sod turning ceremony for the Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics Hub (RiFL) at Bomen yesterday.
Committee for Wagga has been a long-time advocate of the RiFL Hub as it forms a key component of the Bomen Business Park and the Special Activation Precinct Draft Master Plan (released in July 2020). We look forward to the opportunities this significant development will bring to Wagga Wagga, including attracting new further businesses to the city and driving economic & population growth.
